Post Sales Operations Manager

Post Sales Operations encompasses the entire customer experience after the sale.  The PSO group is the main point of contact for our customer after the sale is made, and is responsible for assuring a smooth process from start to finish of their project.

 

The PSO manager will be responsible for directly managing the customer project kickoff as well as ordering 3rd party products, shipping, and coordinating installation. The installation team, logistics, project management and tech support all report into this position. The team is measured on ultimately creating a happy and/or return customer at the end of the project.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Comprehend 2D layouts in AutoCAD based on customer floor plans and discuss them with customers.
  • Communicate with customers to establish a timeframe of when equipment is needed
  • Create a timeline for each project with a plan to implement every step of the process from start to finish
  • Assist in Production scheduling of equipment to meet timeline criteria
  • Schedule installation of equipment on site
  • Communicating with vendors to ensure that equipment for each project is ordered accurately and on time to meet project time frames
  • Monitor timelines, track progress of each project, and document all stages of production
  • Communicate with shop employees about specific aspects of each project
  • Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others
  • Maintain customer files
  • Other duties such as assisting with sales and tech support calls
  • Must learn and utilize our internal prospect/customer record management system
  • Quality assurance as it is related to each project

 

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of conveyance and packaging equipment (preferably within the craft beer industry)
  • Experience managing multiple projects at the same time
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills that will assist in understanding our equipment and the intricacies of each project
  • The ability to handle the organization of multiple projects on tight timelines and effectively communicate this to other team members
  • Experience working in an administrative environment
  • Highly effective communication skills and customer service
  • Very responsive to emails and effective email communication with both customers and coworkers
  • Attention to detail in all aspects of work
  • Highly effective time management

AutoCAD Design Technician

AutoCADUnder the supervision of the Sales Team and Engineers, the AutoCAD Design Technician performs a variety of design/drafting activities group including preparing/updating installation drawings for projects, preparing assembly/manufacturing drawings, establishing guidelines and procedures for CAD data management, and managing workload distribution within the project management department. The AutoCAD Design Technician position will oversee equipment ordering as it pertains to client orders. Other duties to be performed as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Design packaging line layouts based on client needs, facility floorplan, equipment compatibility, and scheduling constraints
  • Prepare dimensional drawings, installation drawings and more complex drawings (facility engineering). • Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes, in collaboration with the client and sales department
  • Review layouts, drawings, plans, specifications and other customer documentation if service is requested by the project engineer, sales department, management, or client.
  • Works with Engineers and Project Managers on guidelines for installation drawings which meet and exceed the customer’s requirements (bid and submittal phase). Implement these requirements on drawings sent to the client.
  • Serve as an information source on planning and design of equipment installations: equipment and plant engineering. Seek and collect any information on equipment, equipment compatibility, equipment requirements, availability, and scheduling from vendors.
  • Maintain notes, design calculations and other documentation (like drawings, bill of materials, list of design parameters, and performance guarantees) for future reference.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of third party items and services data base(Vendor CAD Blocks, our cad blocks, and tool pallets). • Review and modify information with supervision by the Project Engineering.
  • Make data available to engineering and management.
  • Establish filing guidelines for drawings to maintain up-to-date drawings

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Associate's degree or completion of a technical trade school in CAD, drafting or related field (preferably engineering), or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Part modeling and detailing experience using AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Inventor software (required).
  • Experience in equipment layout for packaging lines and/or industrial construction projects. (desired).
  • Excellent communications skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written.
  • Able to generate layout drawings from sketches and specifications.
  • Knowledgeable of standard drafting practices and procedures.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, efficiently schedule, and manage time.
  • The 3D CAD Technician must be able to concentrate for extended periods of time paying close attention to detail
